The GROGS GAME rules for CCV.
To make solo CCV play [always a pale shadow of h2h play] more challenging use any [all if ya got the balls] of the following playbalance tricks.A) Set the AI to Recruit and your side to Elite [am constantly amazed at how many people think the hardest setting is just the reverse].
B) Use a 15 minute timer..
C) Edit the Battle/Op/Camp you want to play solo in the game editor.
1) Turn Air/arty/naval fire off for your side, on for the AI [optionally set the weather to clear to clear to ensure airstrikes and barrages].
2) Set your supply to Low and the AIs to Full.
3) Delete all but one friendly supply depot and change the status of that remaining depot to 'minor' [single barrel].
D) Modify your battlegroup composition only when there are empty slots. Otherwise play with the default BG order of battle.
E) Play using the default deployment. This is the single best way to improve solo playbalance. The AI has to start from the same sort of [tactically crappy] default deploy positions you get. Using the re-deploy option vs the AI is about as fair as making a human opponent use the default deployment while you go ahead and optimize yours. Do not give any pre-battle commands.
F) Do not use the mini-map. Use the zoom-out view when you need to see the 'big picture'. Better yet, rely soley on your Mk 1 eyeballs to spot enemy teams.
G) Always play with Force Morale on.
H) Never peek at the AI's 'cards' [BG OoB or post-game Details].
Note that the GROGS GAME rules dont alter the realism settings even 1%. If the GROGS GAME is still not tough enough for you, then dood you are one sumbitch of a solo CC hombre and its time to lower the AI's realism settings ['Always see Enemy' etc]. Until youve utilized all available game options to find a bigger challenge then its a bit premature to be squawking "too easy".
Otherwise, try to play online where there are plenty of guys ready, willing and able to steal your lunchbox and eat your twinkies. The head to head CC5 experience is incredible stuff.
