Master, my good friend died and now i regret i didn't visit him more. Love cannot measure itself until the hour of parting. What is the best way to meat the loss of one we love ? By knowing that when we truly love it is never lost. It is only after death that the death of the bond is truly felt, and our love-one becomes more a part of us then was possible in life.

I have lost my house in a fire and slept under a tree this night. In every loss there is gain ... as in every gain there is loss. This morning i saw the beauty of this tree for the first time although i lived next to it for a long time. With each ending comes a new beginning.

How may i walk a peaceful path when the world is seldom peaceful ? Peace lies not in the world Grasshopper but in the man who walks the path. But in my path may be men not filled with peace. Then seek a different path … And if at each turn appear those who would be violent and not love peace ? To reach perfection a man must develop equally compassion and wisdom. But Master how do i not contemn with the men that would contemn with me ? In a heart that is one with nature though the body contemns there is no violence and in the heart that is not one with nature though the body be at rest there is always violence. Be therefor like the prow of a boot, it cleaves the water yet it leaves in its wake water unbroken.

Master… may we speak further on the forces of destiny ? Speak ... As we stand with two roads before us, how should we know whether the right road or the left road will lead us to our destiny? You spoke of chance Grasshopper as if such a thing was certain to exist. In the matter you speak of destiny, there is no such thing as chance… For whichever way we choose right or left it must lead to an end and that end is our destiny.

I know a family with lots of money and a big house, they can do what ever they want. You look to others to measure your own freedom ?

Today i saw little birds in a cage. Although it didn't seem to bother them i did not like that they were not able to fly around freely. Are we not also ? The temple does not hold us we have only to open the door. Are we then free to go anywhere we choose even up into the heavens ? No Master .. we to are captive just as these. Then why do i speak to you of freedom ? It puzzles me Master. Is your mind not free to seek its own course to soar even to the heavens, though you turn and spin within a prison ? But i wish to be truly free. Bind yourself to nothing, seek harmony with all, then you will be truly free.

Kwai Chang Caine in his younger years: I want to kill general Chung because he killed my parents. If i can find him alone it could be done. And being done.... what do you derive ? Satisfaction. Is there now more or less light in this chamber ? there is Less. Is it not more important that you find yourself then a killer of men ? Would your parents not wish you to go forward to life and light rather then backward to death and darkness ? How do i find myself and the light ? By taking the path that leads to the truth. Would you help me walk the path ? I can only point the way Grasshopper ...You must walk the path yourself.

I still do not understand. Look closer, you will see some things clearer, perhaps you will see other things you do not know at all. But the puzzle , grasshopper, is to find a way so that others may see you.

That man suffers for want of food. Did he not say he had eaten well ? He does not speak truly he is week from hunger. Perhaps his desire for dignity is greater than his need of food. He is poor, he should admit it, he is to proud. Perhaps pride is the only crown he has left to ware... Would you not truly help him by offering first respect and then food ?

It is very difficult to understand the wisdom of Yoda without knowing the full story. I recommend to see at least the movie: Star Wars part ll: "The Empire Strikes Back".

. Facts: The story of Yoda goes back a very long time and is located in a far away galaxy. Present and history on "Earth orient philosophy" has many similarities with Yoda's wisdom about the Force. That's why it is obvious that our earth philosophy originally came from The Force. .

How will I know the good side from the bad ? You will know if you are calm.....at peace, passive ...a Jedi uses the force for knowledge and defense never to attack. A Jedi's strength flows from the force but beware of the dark side. Anger, fear, aggression, the dark side of the force are they.... easily they flow.... quicker to join when a fight ... If once you start down the dark path forever it will dominate your destiny ...consume you it will. Is the dark side stronger ? No ... quicker, easier, more effective. Forget what you have learned . Alright I give it a try. No do not try ... Do or do not ..... there is no try I can't do it, it is to big Size matters not ... look at me ... judge me by my size ? .... And ware you should not .... for my ally is the force and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we........ not this crude measure. You must feel The Force around you ..... between you, me, the tree, the rock everywhere ... yes ...even between the land and the ship. You want the impossible...... I don't believe it. That is why you fail..... I cannot teach him.....all his life has he looked away ... to the future to the horizon... never his mind on were he was .... what he was doing ... adventure excitement ... a Jedi craves not these things.

Life has so many questions. One cannot know everything. I find it to be difficult to meet with all this uncertainty. How do you go through all that and not get twisted out of shape by it ?
I seek not to know all the answers ... but to understand the
questions.
