Below you will find a list of all the K'NEX pieces.
The maxima pieces are not listed, because their shape is identical to the pieces listed below. They only have a different colour (metallic or fluorescent).

Rods

	Green rod
	White rod
	Blue rod
	Yellow rod
	Red rod
	Gold rod with stops This rod is exclusively used in the roller coaster. It has special stops which lock up the gold tabbed connectors and thus keep the track apart at a uniform distance.
	Tan rod This rod has the the same length as the red rod, but it's less flexible. Therefore it's especially useful as an axle.
	Grey rod
	Black rod This rod is just as inflexible as the tan rod. Best used as an axle. (But if you run out of gray rods it can be very helpful too!)
	Purple flexible rod
	Orange flexible rod

Connectors

	Tan connector Just as a dark grey connector it can be used at the end of a rod, but this one doesn't protrude so much.

	Gold tabbed connector
	Purple connector
	Blue connector Put blue and/or purple connectors together and you can build threedimensional!
	White connector
	Screamin' serpent connector This new piece is only used in the screamin' serpent rollercoaster.

Power

	Build a dragster, a trike or whatever you like. Pull it back, let go and the rubber band will launch your model!
	This set does the same as the previous one, instead it uses a spring motor.
	All you need are two AA-size batteries and your imagination. With this power set you can make your models really move! Also available as a wired remote control (right picture).
	This power set runs on four AA-size batteries and is more powerful than the one above. It's included in a few Maxima sets.
	For your larger models you will need this 12V motor. It runs on electricity and comes with an adapter. And better yet: this power set is sold separately.
	Let your models run on the most powerful energy source in the universe: the sun! Cool! And when the sun has set? No problem. Use a desk-lamp (>60W). Make sure the light is well directed to the solar panel, else it will not work.
	Pull the handle as fast as you can and your model will take off. This set will make your models run faster than any other set. Run your model against a wall and collect the pieces afterwards...>
	Dual control power set This is the newest power set, which is really a double battery power set in one. It has a wired remote control with two pairs of buttons for controlling the two motors.

Wheels and Cogwheels

	Grey cogwheel The grey cogwheel is mostly used for decoration purposes.
	Blue cogwheel The blue cogwheel is similar to the gray one. The big difference however is that this cogwheel can be locked on an axle by using a tan connector (see picture).
	Red cogwheel
	Yellow cogwheel This wheel is identical to the red wheel. The only difference is that this wheel has cogs sticking out (just as the yellow and black spoked wheel). I must say that up to today I can't see the added value of the yellow wheel.
	Yellow spoked wheel
	Black spoked wheel As with the yellow cogwheel I see no added value of this wheel compared to the yellow spoked wheel.
	Small wheel, small tire The small tire can be fit around the small wheel.
	Large wheel, medium tire, large tire You can fit either the medium or the large tire around the large wheel.
	Micro wheel This small wheel fits tight on a rod.
	Racing car wheel This new wheel comes in two sizes. They're perfect for racing cars. It fits tight on the end of a rod.
	Giant wheel You can find this enormous wheel in some Maxima sets.

Miscellaneous

	Commanders The K'NEX commanders are available in many different colours. They're built from special black and coloured pieces. In this summary these pieces will not be mentioned separately.
	Ball
	Tube The tube is used in the big ball factory and the roller coaster to guide either a ball or a coaster car. It fits on the gold tabbed connector or the splicer.
	Panels Panels come in various colours. On the left you can see two examples: a large and a small triangle. There's a medium size one as well. Besides that, some sets also include square shaped panels.
	Cone This small piece is included in some micro sets.
	Hinge
	Chain link
	Splicer Hook this one on to a chain link and you've created an alternative hinge. It can also be used for decoration.
	Axle spacer This is the smallest K'NEX piece you'll find.
	Maxima spacer This spacer is found in the maxima sets. Its width equals that of three axle spacers. It's really the only new piece in the maxima sets (if you forget about the colours).
