     Aquaria and terraria



 The purpose of an zen terrarium or aquarium is not the beauty of the animals or the animals. A Zen aquarium or terrarium is a way of facilitating meditation.

 As I already wrote before , there are 4 estetic rules:
-self reference: use only natural materials for the interior
Use stone for rock or islands, sand for sand
More difficult: don;t use tube light for the light (but only natural light)
-silence and emptiness.
These terraria ans aquaria are huge and mostly empty! They contain sand and a few rocks and only a few animals
-asymmetric and simplicity
Don't use artificial constructions, the aquaria and terraria are open
-intuition and chance
Like in rock gardens, the rocks and other materials(wood) are chosen by intuition

problems

- Natural light induces the growth of algae
- The maintain of an aquarium without showing the tubes and wires is not easy
- Don't use air bubbles , instead of that use silent pumps.
or use a time-switch so your pumps work only at nighttime
- In this aquarium shrimp and crabs can easily jump out or escape
- Some species of frogs and salamander and lobster can escape
by climbing the glass. This can be prevented when you build your
terrarium like an island, so land surrounded by water








The Third Thing

Water is H2O
Hydrogen two parts
Oxygen one
But there is also a third thing
That makes it water.
And nobody knows what that is.
