The Plant family of passifloracea counts over 600 different true species. Most of them are found in South America. Some species can be found all over the tropics. Beside species man has created many passiflora hybrides (cultivars) over the last two centuries. On this site we show you most passiflora species and many hybrides. Here in Holland I am growing over 300 species and cultivars of passiflora. From october till may we grow our passiflora's in our greenhouse with several temperature areas. The rest of the year we try to grow as many species outside as is possible in our climate. From July till october our garden is full with passiflora vines that grow fast and make it look like a true rainforrest. I am a member of the Passiflora Society International PSI. One of their goals is to prevent passiflora species from extinction. Creating new passiflora hybrides, is a great challenge. I like to get in contact with ohter enthousiasts in South America to trade seeds and information. This can contribute to have rare passiflora species cultivated and saved.. My passiflora's are watered with the automatic tropf blumat system to save water and for much better plant shape. Water geven doe ik mijn passiebloemen automatisch met het tropf blumat systeem, kostenbesparend en betere passiebloem verzorging en konditie.
