Plot
Ford Fairlane, played by Andrew Dice Clay, is a popular rock and roll
detective, but he is not so crazy about his job. On one day, Ford's
old friend and radio DJ Johnny Crunch, played by Gilbert Gottfried, offers him 4000
dollars to find Zulu Petals, played by Maddie Corman. Not much later
Crunch is killed. Ford then gets involved with a strange murdercase, which
gets weirder and weirder by the minute. Ford meets weird, insane
characters, beautiful women and evil hitmen on the way. Why didn't he just
became a fisherman's detective instead?
One of the characters Ford meets during his case is the one he probably
hates the most, Smiley. This insane hitmen who is always laughing is
portrayed by Robert and tries to finish off Ford the entire film. Smiley
had the incredible gift of popping up when you don't expect it and when
you thought he was dead. He's strong, he's crazy and he's deadly as hell.
The character of rock and roll detective Ford Farilane was created by
journalist Rex Weiner and first appeared in a series of stories in the New
York Rocker and LA Weekly. Writers James Cappe and David Arnott wrote a
story for the film and director Renny Harlin was hired to direct the project.
And American comedian Andrew Dice Clay (also known as The Diceman) was
offered the lead of Mr. cool himself; Ford Fairlane.
