Plot
In the sitcom D.C. Follies bartender Fred Willard welcomes a group
of politicians and celebrities, portrayed by puppets in his bar in
Washington D.C. The show's humor tended to be on the satirical side and
often took potshots at politicians and the political process. The show ran
from 1987 to 1989 and was produced by Sid and Marty Krofft.
On one episode George Bush is looking for bartender Fred, but finds
another Freddy at the bar, Freddy Krueger (portrayed by Robert Englund).
Freddy is ready to kill off Bush, but bartender Fred manages to stop him
from doing so. Because even Freddy wouldn't want to see Dan Quayle become
president! Next up Freddy wakes up from his nightmare and finds himself
sitting at a table with the poor woman who sleeps with Jim Baker. And
let's face it; with all the bad things Freddy did, even he can't top that.
