Wishmaster contains allot of horror- actor from popular horrormovies. Beside Robert also Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees in Friday the 13th 7-10), Angus Schrimm (The Tall Man from the Phantasm films), Tony Todd (Candyman from the Candyman movies), Ted Raimi (Evil Dead, Army of Darkness), Reggie Bannister (Reggie from the Phantasm films) and Joseph Pilato (Captain Rhodes from Day of the Dead) can be seen in this film.

The film is followed by Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies which also stars Andrew Divoff as the Djinn. In part three (Beyond the Gates of Hell) and part four (The Prophecy Forfilled) the role of the Djinn is played by John Novak.
