"Otte indeed refers to Allen Otte of TPG Cincinnati. I don't recall the specifics, but I believe it is a kind of transcription/collage of various Cage works that Otte created and received Cage's blessing for performance." John Kennedy on 'Silence - the John Cage Discussion List'. "It was performed at the 1986 Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Washington D.C. and could be found in a convention issue of Percussive Notes. It could also be a collage that Al did in 1990 (a concert that included John Kennedy and Esssential Music performing Johanna Beyer's IV) in Philadelphia at another PASIC." Chris Shultis on the same list. |
