Head of an insect (wasp, bee or
ant)
Attention: Look at the black spot on the FLED (=polarity)
Before soldering glue components together.
Circuit is the solar engine.
Just connect a elco ( C ) ± 400 uF, a coil and a solarcell and the
electronics of your insect with moving wings is ready. When using a
motor C should be ± 2200 uF or bigger.
You can also attach two coils, one for each wing, so you don’t have
much trouble with balancing.
Remember the coils don’t have much power to move something, even wings
made of "overhead sheet" can be to heavy to lift. Balancing
each wing is very important. When using two coils make sure you have
a left and a right one, old VU meters of stereos will do fine.
Adjust the trigger level with the variable resistor.
The heads of my ants are made in this way.
