The 28 foot FWB.

Gaffers & Luggers in Mylor Bridge build the 28' Falmouth Working Boats with a GRP hull.
The mould for these hulls was made using the last wooden boat build by the yard.
Most of the boats build today are build as cabin cruisers but also some open racing boats are built sometimes, to compete in the FWB regatta's.
In fact Janner was built as an open racing boat in 1986, after some years of racing she was given an engine and a cabin. Some other cabin cruisers also started life as an open boat !

The Falmouth Working Boats are the last fleet of boats in Western Europe, still fishing under sail.
A separate page about this unique (oyster) fishery will be added.
