This page contains downloads related to small projects, such as fonts. Here, you will not find any externals for HyperCard. Download XFCNs and XCMDs from the respective page. Follow the link to XFCNs and XCMDs inthe sidebar to go to that page. Password font After a HyperCard Mail List member requested a bullet font to visually scramble the data in text fields, a few bullet fonts popped up, but no truetype version seemed to be available. Since it is very easy to make such a font, I decided to create one for use with HyperCard. Download This little package contains a stack with the Password font resources that allow you to change the appearance of a field into bullets-only. Of course, the stack does not really encode or encrypt any contents. The data will still be retrievable by other stacks. So, you can work with the data while your colleagues cannot see what is on screen. This font has been specially designed to replace Courier 12, Plain. The Password font has the same width as Courier 12, which means that the lay-out of your text fields is not affected. I chose to make a replacement for Courier because it is a monospaced font. If you want a replacement for Monaco, just ask. Included is also a truetype version of the Password font. This may be useful when you want to use "encoded" fields in printed reports, for example. If you do this, you probably want to install the font into the Fonts folder of your System folder. Jobs Quote 1.0 Jobs Quote 1.0 is a very simple system extension, which plays a sound while your Mac starts up. You will hear Steve Jobs say that rumours about cancelling HyperCard are b*llsh*t. It isnšt of any use, but can you imagine Macintoshes all over the world saying those rumours are...? I like the idea. Use this system extension at your own risk. I have tested it on an iMac with MacOS 9.2.2 and a Performa 450 with MacOS 7.5.1. It should run on any Mac with MacOS 9 or earlier. It will not eat any RAM, because it exits directly after playing the sound. Jobs Quote 1.0 is in the public domain. Run this extension at your own risk. I am in no way responsible for anything bad that happens while this extension resides inside your system folder. Download here. Last update: 02-06-2005 |
