About me My bearmaking hobby began in 1990. In the early years I made only a few bears a year - mini's and a couple of bigger teddies . I kept them or gave them to family and friends. Over the years my bears got better and they started to find new homes all over the country. In 2002 the time was right to start presenting my bears to a bigger audience - thus this website. My first bears were made from patterns from bearmaking magazines or bought from Probeer, but those were a bit boring and so I design my own patterns now. Today I only use my own designs for the bears I put on this site. The bears under 25 cm are completely handmade - I love to relax while sewing by hand. I only use the finest mohair and materials for my bears. Most bears I make today range in size from 6 cm to 40 cm, most are 5-fold disc-jointed, they always have glass eyes, embroidered and sometimes glossy noses and are mainly filled with fiberfill or wool/cotton and plastic-, mineral-, glass- or steel-granulates. In some bears or creatures I use a swivelhead construction and armatures. Unfortunately I don't make nearly enough bears to do even one show a year ( I make only one or two bears a month) so I hope this site is enough for you! If you want to contact me, please email me, or leave a message in my guestbook!
