| In 1992 I started, at the age of 6, with
trampolining. At a circus in Waddinxveen, where an acrobat showed his act on a trampoline,
I became in contact with the sport trampolining. From this moment I made my choice, I
definitly wanted to make trampolining my sport. The nearest club where I could practice trampolining was Pro Patria at Zoetermeer 18km from my place. I first started with 1 lesson of 1 hour per week on the recreation group. Soon after that my trainers selected me for the competiton class followed by the top-sport group of Pro Patria. At this moment I practice in 6 days about 25 hours per week. My coach at Pro Patria is Lennard Villafuerte. From 1997 I'm also part of the Royal Dutch Gymnastics Union "Young Orange" (K.N.G.U.) selection. In this selection are the best Dutch youth springers in the age till 18 years of the Netherlands. Over the week I must practice in this selection for 3,5 hours. My coach in this selection is also Lennard Villafuerte. |
