A couple of Ortliebsaddlebags fit better with my F650 in offroad style. The bags are
made of very strong material (like canvas with rubber coating) and
are closed water and dust proof with the famous Ortlieb
roll-and-buckle system. A plastic plate keeps the bags well shaped.
The saddlebags are attached with straps and without any mounting and
are kept firmly in the right place. The pictures show how tight the
bags fit to the bike. Because of the exhaust the bags are placed
rather forward but this is and advantage in distributing weight in
the right place! Standing on the pegs in terrain is still possible.
Riding two on with these bags is however not possible - simply get a
bike for your passenger ;-)
Each bag holds about 22 litres (L x W x H=35 x 22 x 29cm). Costs
160 euro.
My F650 'Sixdays' is now equipped with an Acerbis roadbook holder and a Sigma BC500 bicycle computer as tripmaster. On a new page are some pictures and a description how things are done.
November 1998 I got an email from Woodrow Little from Maryland, USA. He visited my homepage and liked to see the 'SixDays'. The non-standard looks of my F650 seemed attractive. It was fun to exchange experiences with a Fundurist from an other part of the world.

Meanwhile Woody also put a beak on his Funduro!
