Welcome to the web site from Gerda and Ron Cremers. This web site is dedicated to our rock garden and to smaller rock garden plants.
When we bought our new house in 1996, we obtained a garden which had to be redesigned completely. After we had created a terrace and a pound two stretches of ground remained unused. At first we had no clue what to do with these. However, after we went to see a couple of gardens from friends of ours, we immediately fell in love with a rock garden belonging to one of our friends. We especially liked the fact that the garden contained all sorts of  plants that are considered to be ‘out of the ordinary’ and which can not be bought at the local garden shop.

Today all empty spots have been filled with the so-called silex rocks. This type of rock can be found in the old sandstone quarries in Limburg. Amidst these rocks we have planted 200 different kinds of alpine and rock plants. Gradually our garden has developed into a hobby that requires a lot of our spare time.

The next challenge after having planted all these wonderful plants is, of course, to try to multiply them. Slowly but surely we are starting to get the hang of it. In order to get more experience we both became members of the Dutch Rock plants Society.

On our site you are able to look at pictures from our garden and our plants. Also you can read our cultivation list. In addition, you are able to visit various rock plant societies both in the Netherlands as well as in other countries. You can also visit other web sites from members of the Dutch Rock plants Society, thanks to the links we added on our site.
