Sheila Kotkin


born in Manhatten, New York - 1945. A months vacation in Europe after receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Media from the School of Visual Arts in New York, segwayed into 20 years (+,- ach,  who's counting) in Holland, with study at Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, Eindexamen Grafiek/Schilderen from the Rietveld Academie, and, hi-diddle-lee-dee an artist's life for me ! But Pitt Street between Rivington and Delancy on New York's lower east side, Flatbush and Brighton Beach in Brooklyn are never far away, as is the goal in "een veel bewogen leven",to keep her eye on the donut and not on the hole.   


Wanda van Dijk

Born in Bethesda, Maryland  1966. She studied at the Royal Art Academy in the Hague. Wanda is inspired through music and dance. Her graphic art works are created through calligraphy,  coming  from the theme of Pentecoste , speaking in tongues. Wanda's  most recent exhibitions are at  SOHO Gallery, in The Hague  and  Amber Gallery, Leiden, Hooglandse Kerk.  She   creates freely experimenting with colors. Wanda looks forward to working with other disciplines in the future.             


Tom Gottsleben
born in Boston , Massachusetts - 1952. Studied in the Chufu High School in Tokyo and at the San Francisco Art Institute.  Recent exhibitions of his work included the Buttonhole Gallery, The Kleinert Gallery,  Elena Zang Gallery, and the Hawthorn Gallery,  in New York.  Gottsleben is a sculptor and a painter. His central motive in his sculpture  is  the spiral. All his artwork is spiritual, where  the concept of light plays a very important role.

Tom Gottsleben

Philip Corner

 
born in the Bronx,  New York - 1933. He is a member of the Fluxus movement. Philip has participated in many collaborative projects with - music - dance -  theatre and the visual arts. In 1990 Philip participated in the Venice Biennale in Italy. Corner is above all a performance artist and composer. For the last five years  Philip has been traveling around the world, collaborating in performances of dance and music  with choreographer Phoebe Neville.   In this Webster University exhibition we will exhibit his  glass bottles and paper scrolls.
 

Richard Nelson
born Witchata Falls, Texas - 1954. Studied engraving with Dadi Wirtz in Basel and Bob Blackburn in New York City. He worked, taught and studied in the Printmaking Workshop, NYC from 1975-1995 and is now living in Butte Montana. Richard lectures extensively on the place of the engraved line in modern  society and is presently working on a book entitled "Tantra: The Yoga of Engraving". He has had one man exhibitions in Tokyo, Basel, New York, Paris and Houston and is in private and public collections in New York, Paris, San Francisco, Oslo, Port Moresby, Aslilah-Morocco and Montana.

Molly Ackerman


born in Phoenixville,  Pennsylvania  - 1953, she grew up in Manhattan. Molly has participated in over 20 solo exhibitions,  as well as a myriad of group exhibitions. She calls herself an expansionist artist, as she grows form her work and experience with others.  She has been a painting performance artist for over ten years, working with artists of other disciplines, music and dance. Her paintings have been described as ethereal,  brooding yet disciplined and  containing a contagious sense of freedom.

Chantz Perkins

born in Los Angeles, California - 1959. She studied at the University of California and the University of Judaism in Los Angeles. She has exhibited in America and Europe. In Amsterdam she was awarded commissions both for her sculpture and paintings for the Ajax organization. Recently she had a solo exhibition at the GG&GD in Amsterdam. The paintings in this exhibition are from the series "Views of Contemporary Women", figurative surrealistic views of  modern women in a contemporary society, that has forgotten its history and  women who have forgotten the essence of their own power.
