The purpose of a performance project is two fold. In the first place to bring ART to those who might otherwise never have an entrance into the process of artistic creativity. The intension is to work as a catalist to promote an opening of freedom, by unlocking the possibility of creativity in those that are touched through these means. Second, a collaborative performance project is to let go. Let go of self-conciousness. Let go of the ego. Let go of absolute control. Allowing others to rule in that brief moment - audience - dancer - musican- photographer -painter.... While in this state of absolute acceptance, one becomes vulnerable and open to many possibilities. In that moment, we learn to exceed our own boundaries, enabling us to grow and expand beyond our own horizons. |
