Of course you can buy carseats, but thats more for the airbusbuilders. If you have a yokecolumn you will have to make some room to pull the column between your legs. You can try to get a real used one on Ebay or buy one at PFC (see links), but I decided to make one after I saw the tutorials made by Daniel Friede

The pics are self explanatory.

Armrests. If you take a good look you will see that the iner most ring is made with my cnc machine. Both armrests can be turned upwards 100 degrees.

To move the seat in the front rear direction I got a seat adjustment from a car. This one is from an old Opel Manta.

Take care that most modern cars have the adjustment lever in the middle. These can not be ued for boeing builders.

The lower part is fastened to the platform. The seat slides over the bottom part to the font and to the back.

After I made the first part of the entrance of the cockpit, I realised that it was not possible to enter it from the back. I had to make some kind of J-rails.

An alu (2mm) bottom plate, a 9mm trespa plate and a 2 mm top plate. The last is a few mm more in width then the middle plate.

Everything assembled. I use an inverted ball transfer unit. (Normally these are used for transport belts)

A detail of the ball transfer unit, The blue part is the base for the connection to the chair.

Everything in place. Works exactly as planned. I only need to make a securing mechanism to hold the chair in the front position..
