17 August 1939 in Vologda. Died 28 January 1999 in St. Petersburg.

Education

At the Leningrad Conservatory: composition under Jevlachov and musical sciences (folklore) under Rubzov. Master in 1964.

Style

His main interest concerns vocal music. One of his main works is 'The Three German Books' for male voice and piano after poems by Heinrich Heine. Another is 'The Russian Book' for mezzo-soprano and piano after Russian folk texts.
