In 1978 he graduated from the Moscow Power Institute, and in 1984 from
the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory.From 1985 to 1989 he had been
working as musical editor-in-chief of the Russian State Central
Studio of Documentary Films. In 1991 he graduated the Post-Graduated course
of the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under Edison Denisov.
