Education
Sergey Pavlenko graduated from Moscow State Conservatory in 1977. He studied composition under Nikolay Sidelnikov;
reading of scores and instrumentations under Edison Denisov.
In 1980 he finished postgraduate study at the Moscow conservatory under direction of Nikolay Sidelnikov.
In 1976-1982 he worked as the musical head of the Moscow Theatre on the Taganka under direction of Jury Ljubimov. In this period
he contributed to "Master and Margarita" of M. Bulgakov, "Crime and Punishment" of F. Dostoyevsky,
"The House at the Quay" of J. Trifonov, "Three sisters" of A. Tsechov,
"Boris Godunov" of A. Pushkin and others. He is the author of music to performance A. Tsechov's
"Book of Complaints".
