27 May 1930 in Tallinn, Estonia. Died: 24 December 2010 in Tallinn.
Education
Tamberg graduated in 1953 from Kapp's composition class at the Tallinn Conservatory.
He then worked as a sound director for Estonian Radio and as
a consultant to the Estonian Composer's Union.
In 1967 he was appointed to the staff of the Tallinn Conservatory.
Style
His orchestral works are dramatic in their handling of rhythm, orchestration and virtuoso writing.
