COLOR  SYMBOLISM

.

Symbolism as the practice of representing things by symbols, or of investing things with a symbolic meaning or charactor.
Color can be symbolically explained by demografical indicators.
For instance: environment, culture, year at cetera.
During the 16th century colors were use for giving a certain significance especially used when making art.
One could easier distinguish certain people, for instance: Jesus and Mary.
It could also emphasize positive (when using brilliant colors) and negative (when using dull colors) images.
Mostly seen in mosaics, wall paintings, icons, statues and stained glass windows.
