Dualism is the subject of a series of books called "The Light & the Dark - A cultural history of dualism".

Dualism is about unsolvable oppositions, or the theory and practice of such oppositions. In the article "On Dualism" a more elaborate definition of dualism is given. Some of the other topics addressed in that article are the origin of dualism, dualistic systems or societies and dualism in modern lexicography

The article "About the series" answers the question why one should occupy oneself with dualism, gives an overview of how this work was originated and explains the subtitle of the series. The "Series Manual" is an index of which subjects can be found in which volume(s). The manual is organised around the following subjects: On dualism as such, Periods and civilizations, Political history, Social history, History of religions, Philosophy, Literature and Historiography.
