BROCHURE OF THE BARKER BODIED HEARSE AND LIMOUSINE

In the late 1940's Daimler has published a brochure of the Barker bodied hearse and limousine based on either a DE36 or a DE27 chassis. At the time Barker was already part of Daimler and was their “in-house” coach builder. I purchased the brochure recently from the Daimler historian Brian Smith. Just click on each of the entries below and one of the six pages will become visible. The limousine shows a striking resemblance with our DE36 VOG 299, although she has probably not been built by Barker, but by Startin based in Birmingham.
