Horses are the most beautiful animals. As a dressage rider I spent a lot of time
training my horses on different levels. Almost every week I am participating on a
horse show. I would like to invite you to look around on this website in order to get to
know my Horses, get my results or to find some useful links.
When I was eight years old I started riding on ponies seriously. My parents where very
active in breeding Welsh ponies so my first pony was of course a Welsh pony. My most
famous ponies were Matahari's Grashopper and Limbra's Ringoboy. With those ponies I
participated at dressage shows and Jumping shows.
My first horse was Talis. I started riding Talis when I was fifteen years old. My
brother Sjak had been ridden Talis up to the Dutch Z-level of dressage. Since this time I
have been concentrating myself at dressage.
In 1986 I reached the Level of the Dutch Young Riders. In 1987 I was selected into the
Dutch Young Riders Team together with Anky van Grunsven.
In 1988 I got the silver medal with the team at the European Championship in Lanaken
Belgium. I got the bronze medal individually.
Two years later I started riding at the Grand Prix Level. I was selected into the Dutch
team in order to participate at Olympic Games in Barcelona. At this moment Talis was sold
to the United States.
After Talis I had several young horses. With several horses I managed to reach the Prix
St. George Level.
With Majoor I
am riding at the ZZ level at the Dutch competition.
Currently I am looking for dressage horses which I can train and ride on horse
shows.
