Voor de nestjes, die wij fokken, verzorgen wij een puppy  jacht-cursus ; we beginnen, als de pups 9 weken oud zijn.

Alles wordt spelenderwijs aangeleerd, bovendien wordt aan de deelnemers  uitgelegd, hoe zij met hun pup moeten omgaan tijdens de rangorde - , en de wissel-periode.

In die eerste weken van hun leven leren de pups erg veel :

Where is the litter born ?

Do the puppy`s stay there until it is time to go ?

No, at the age of 5 weeks they move to our kitchen, from where they can go outside, and learn to do their things outside.
Normally our pups are house-trained when they leave us.

Socialisation.

This is most important. Many people come to visit us ; small children too. Our house is next to a small road, and all traffic passes : cars, vans, people on bycicles, horses etc. The puppy`s see and hear this all, when they are playing outside.

When is the time when the new family`s can come and see the litter ?

Mother and puppy`s have rest until the litter is 4 weeks old. After that we have a one day open house in the weekend for anyone who wants to visit the litter.
Until than the new family`s can view on our website how mother and puppy`s are doing.

Is it possible to choose a puppy ?

No. After the puppytest ( held by the Flatcoated Retriever Society ) we choose the puppy, which suits the best in a certain family.

When do the puppy`s leave us  ?

When they are about 8 weeks old.
Than they have been vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and tested on character and working-ability by the FRC.

We are members of the FRC.
For all planned combinations permission is inquired.
All breeding stock is tested for hips, patella luxation and eyes.
