Last month on Thursday april 10th 2003, the dutch operator Fast Flying Ferries,
has recently transported the 1,000.000 customer from Amsterdam towards Velsen-Zuid.
It was Paulien van Leeuwen which bought the 1,000.000 ticket,
at the ticket booth on pier nr.7 behind Central Station in Amsterdam,
for the hydrofoil service in between Amsterdam and Velsen-Zuid.

On pier nr.7 she got a friendly welcome,
as always, by our friendly lokettiste Henny Ravensteijn
and for this occassion our Unit Manager Peter Eijer,
last named left on the picture, came especially to Amsterdam to celebrate this moment.
Paulien van Leeuwen received a large bouquet of flowers and a 
free of charge month ticket by the company
Connexxion Fast Flying Ferries.

 

Connexxion Fast Flying Ferries celebrated his fifth anniversary on Monday the 27th of April 2003.
With an average speed of 65 km/hour and with a traveling time of 25 minutes
it is the quickest and easy way to travel in between
Velsen-Zuid (Pontplein) and Amsterdam (Central Station).

  The hydrofoils start their trip Monday till Friday at a 30 minute frequency
during 6:30 am.(Velsen-Zuid) until 10:00 am (Amsterdam pier 7)
and from 15:30 pm.(Velsen-Zuid) until 19:30 pm. (Amsterdam pier 7)
and in between a 60 minute frequency time schedule during one day.

  Saturday, Sunday and special days we start at
Velsen-Zuid 9:30 am. until 17:30 pm.
Amsterdam 10:00 am until 18:00 pm.

Because we are a succesful connection we introduce a 
winter- and summer schedule this year starting on the 2nd of June 2003
.
